Error Importing Budget into EPASS: Numeric field error: Overload!

Issue

After importing a Budget file and selecting Review, the system displays an error:

Numeric field error:
Overload!
Please, contact EPASS support immediately!

Cause

This error typically indicates that one or more values in the import file exceed system limits or are improperly formatted. Common causes include:

• Numeric values containing too many digits
• Incorrect decimal formatting
• Values exceeding the system’s allowable range

Recommended Resolution

1. Validate Numeric Fields

• Review the import file for:
  • Excessively large numbers
  • Incorrect decimal placement
  • Non-numeric characters in numeric fields

• Revenue (Sales) accounts are stored as negative values in the General Ledger (GL).
• If imported as positive values, they may:
  • Appear reversed in financial reports
  • Contribute to validation or processing errors

3. Correct Revenue Sign Format

• Ensure all revenue account amounts are:
  • Entered and imported as negative values
• This ensures proper display and alignment with system logic

Recommended Action: 

Update your import file so that all revenue account amounts are entered as negative values, then re-import the budget.
