If you are phasing out specific items or models and do not wish to sell them in the future, you will need to enable one of the invoicing variables in System Maintenance. For steps on where to find and to enable the option, please follow the steps below.1. Go to Tools > System Maintenance.2. Under the Variables tab, go to Invoicing.3. Go to the Update tab.4. Enable the Prevent Selling Obsolete Items/Models When QOH is 0 variable which will prevent them from selling obsolete items and models on their invoices.Note: This variable will only be in effect once your existing stock is sold and the QOH has reached 0. If you still have any stock remaining for that item or model, your sales team will see the following prompt which will still allow them to add it to the invoice.When the QOH for the related item/model has finally reached 0 though, they will see these pop-up messages instead when adding an obsolete item/model to an invoice.Obsolete Items – Does not let them add it and there are no other options available.Obsolete Models – They can still add the model if someone with the override security helps them bypass this pop-up.The user security to bypass the pop-up can be found in the Override section as shown below.
