EPASS Reports Show Year 19XX Instead of 20XX

Issue

When running EPASS reports, even if the End Date is set to 12/31/2030, the report may display the year as 1930 instead of the correct 2030.

This occurs because Report uses a two-digit year format and depending on how Windows Region settings are configured on the server, terminal servers, or workstations, the report may display the wrong century.

Resolution

Step 1: Update Windows Region Settings

  1. Open Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Region.

  1. On the Region page, click Additional Settings.
  2. Go to the Date tab.
  3. At the bottom, set the Calendar years range to 1950–2049 (or another range that works for your environment).

Step 2: Copy Settings to System Accounts

  1. Go to Clock & Region → Region → Administrative tab.
  2. Click Copy Settings.

  1. On the Copy Settings screen, check both boxes at the bottom:
    • Welcome screen and system accounts
    • New user accounts
  2. Click OK to save changes.

Step 3: Verify

Re-run the EPASS report to confirm that the year now displays correctly as 20XX.
