EPASS WMS barcode scanners don’t update Serial Type directly; it’s applied automatically based on the location’s default, useful for handling returns like DAMAGED, CLEARANCE, or AS IS.
If you have a location configured to receive specific types of serials, the system can default the Serial Type automatically when items are received at that location.
You can also move items to certain locations to apply a default Serial Type.
This means you can effectively manage returns or special cases, like DAMAGED, CLEARANCE or AS IS items, by ensuring the receiving or storage location is set up with the desired Serial Type defaults.
