Quick Cash is geared specifically to companies with a busy parts counter. If you operate similar to a grocery store where your customers form a line then Quick Cash may be preferred over using the regular invoicing module.
Setup
You will first need to do some setup in Tools>System Maintenance>Variables>Quick Cash.
You will then need to create a default customer in customer maintenance. Typically it has a generic name like CASH SALES. The fields 1-5 if set up are mandatory to be filled in before finishing.
You would then choose what tabs you want to show for use in the invoice.
Last you would default your printer receipt label for invoicing.
Next, you would need to set up a Quick Cash invoice type in Tools>System Maintenance>Invoice Type then change it in terminal settings
Quick Cash Sales – Invoicing
You can enter invoices in Invoicing>Quick Cash>Sales. Entering line codes is very similiar to the usual invoicing module. One thing to note is that if you do not want to sell at L1 pricing you must hit tab instead of enter to change to a different price.
Refunds can also be done through Quick Cash the exact same way as regular invoicing through using negative quantities.
Payments
Payment should be entered as the actual payment received from the customer not what needs to be paid for the invoice. IE if the customer gives $25 for a $24.82 invoice, you would enter $25 and EPASS would then tell you that you need to give $0.18 cents back in change after you finish the invoice. Finish is found in the bottom right corner and is used after entering all item, model, labor etc. codes.
Quick Cash Close Out
This is done in Invoicing>Quick Cash>QC-01 Close Out. At the end of the day when you have finished all your invoices, you will need to do a Quick Cash Close Out. You need to do the close out daily for the transactions to hit the GL. Please note that the quick cash close out report cannot be re-printed once it's been generated. The close out is typically done for each cash register by selecting your own user by can be done for all user IDs.
After running the quick cash close out, it'll show you the below details.
The invoices will then be created in the regular invoicing module after doing the cash out so you can go back and review as you would for a normal invoice.
